Packed grids, a huge variety of manufacturers, multiple series, world class drivers and most importantly the diverse and normally quite loud sounds!

We’re going to tell you our Top 10 Best Sounding GT3 Cars….. In our opinion

10. ASTON MARTIN V8

This may be a controversial one but we will make our justification quick. Firstly it sounds 10x better than the GTE car, which let’s be honest sounds like a vacuum cleaner. Secondly it makes the best bangs on the gear change!

9. PORSCHE 911 991.2 GT3 R

In at number 9 is the Porsche 911 991.2 GT3, they really opened the exhaust up on this model. No it does not split your ears like the GTE car, but still Porsche Flat 6’s always sounds great.

8. JAGUAR XKR

The much missed Emil Frey Jaguar XKR, built at their own expense without any help from Jaguar. A true privateer effort and more importantly than that a supercharged V8! Those downshifts!

7. MERCEDES SLS GT3

In at number 7 the much missed Mercedes SLS AMG, a properly loud throaty thunder from the 6.2 litre V8.

6. LAMBORGHINI HURACAN / AUDI R8

The Lamborghini and the Audi are pretty much the same car, but that V10 engine is simply epic. A soundtrack that accompanies all the best GT3 races around the world.

5. FERRARI 458

For a turbo car the successor to this the 488 sounds pretty good. However the naturally aspirated V8 in the 458 was truly epic. 10/10 for downshifts.

4. BENTLEY CONTINENTAL

Manufacturers who produce turbo GT3 cars take note! Nice downshifts, a good bang on the upshifts, a bit of turbo whistle and sounds like Thunder!

3. CALLAWAY CORVETTE Z06.R

We couldn’t put the Le Mans GTE car on here as that would be cheating. Callaway were the only company allowed to build and homologate the Z06. Corvette race for a pure marketing and performance perspective, they seldomly sell their cars to teams. However in the case of Callaway they let them produce and homologate a GT3 car. Anyway it sounds like a Spitfire!
